Spanning over 15,000 square miles in Texas and Mexico, the Greater Big Bend International Dark Sky Reserve is the largest Dark Sky Certified place in the world. Nestled between Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park, Terlingua Ghost Town serves as a haven for artists, misfits, and just plain nice folks, who do appreciate the (not so) dark night sky.  This photo was taken at almost midnight on a cloudless, moonless night, in early June 2019, at one of many lodgings available for those seeking to find the light in a dark world.
