Description

The image of the Swordfish Harpooner came to sculptor Jay Lagemann in a dream, and it was made using bent wire hangers and local Squibnocket red clay.  The sculpture fell apart when the clay dried, so his second attempt used armature wire and plasticine modeling clay, and was exhibited at his first open studio in 1991 – the day before Hurricane Bob blew off part of his roof!  The current 17 foot sculpture was commissioned by the Chilmark tricentennial in 1994, and is now placed in the dunes above the beach in the fishing village of Menemsha, Martha’s Vineyard.

Every second counts! An exciting and practical accent in any room, this unique high quality Wall Clock serves as a statement piece, creating a personalized environment.
